When observing team members or loved ones getting something done, you might have a differing perspective or opinion on how the task should be completed.
But before you take a breath to tell someone they’re wrong, stop. Swap out the idea of the ‘wrong way’ to do something with a question: ‘How certain are you that this is the right way to do this job?’
By framing it as a question, you’re creating intentional space for curiosity and growth instead of putting the other person in a defensive position.
