Have you ever hit a financial milestone only to realize it didn’t bring the fulfillment you expected?
You’re not alone.
As an Exactly What to Say® Certified Guide, NLP Master Practitioner, and a coach with 30 years of experience in real estate, leadership, and business growth, I’ve seen this firsthand. Entrepreneurs chase six- and seven-figure goals, only to feel stuck, burned out, and questioning, “Is this really it?”
But here’s the game-changer: What if you shifted from setting income goals to setting impact goals?
What if your focus wasn’t just on how much you earn, but on who you serve and how you help them?
In my coaching program, Design Your Best Life, I teach high-achieving professionals how to move beyond the numbers—because true success isn’t just about financial benchmarks. Would it be fair to say that real success is about designing a business that supports the life you actually want to live?
What’s the Difference?
Income goals measure dollars.
Impact goals measure difference.
👉 How open-minded would you be to tracking how many lives you’ve changed this week?
👉 What would it take to measure how much closer your work brought someone to their dream?
👉 Just imagine if you focused more on creating transformation—instead of just chasing another deal.
The irony? When you focus on impact, the income follows.
How to Shift from Income to Impact
1
Define the WHO before the HOW
(Would it be fair to say that clarity on your ideal client could change everything?)
Most people start with how they’ll make money. But after coaching and training thousands of professionals, I can tell you: success starts with WHO.
- Who you serve
- Who you want to become
- Who you need to be to create the impact you desire
Ask yourself:
- Who is the person I’m uniquely positioned to help?
- What makes me the best person to solve their problem?
When you get clear on this, everything changes.
2
Measure success differently
(How different would your life be if you celebrated impact instead of just income?)
Try tracking:
- How many people you helped this week
- The transformations you created
- The opportunities you generated for others
What if the size of your paycheck became the byproduct—not the goal?
3
Use the right words to create action
(What do you want people to say about you when you’re not in the room?)
Words shape perception, action, and results. As an Exactly What to Say® Certified Guide, I teach professionals how tiny shifts in language create massive shifts in business success.
Are your words inspiring action, confidence, and clarity—or just selling a product?
👉 “How do you feel about…” instead of “Are you interested?”
👉 “What happens next is…” instead of “Let me know what you think.”
👉 “How would it feel if…” instead of “Do you want to?”
This isn’t just about communication—it’s about influence.
The Income Will Follow
The most profitable businesses are built on trust, reputation, and relationships. Would it be crazy to think that when you focus on impact, you naturally build all three—so the income takes care of itself?
So, let me ask you…
What would happen if you focused on impact first?
