Nancy Duncan knows that in audiology, clinical skill is only part of the equation. After three decades of practice, she has seen firsthand how hard it is to build a deep, trusting bond with a patient in a single 60 to 90-minute window. Often, patients who desperately need help are in denial or simply “not ready” to commit. For many practitioners, the fear of appearing pushy creates a barrier that prevents patients from getting the devices they need.

Having followed Phil M Jones’ work for years, Nancy realized that truly mastering communication required more than just a brief workshop—it required a deeper dive. She chose to become a Certified Guide because she saw how specific words have the power to shift the entire “vibe” of a room and change how a patient feels toward their provider.

When you work with Nancy, she helps your team move away from mundane, transactional habits and back into the meaningful work of helping people. Her mission is to share the “magic” of these words with fellow audiologists, whether they are industry veterans or new to the practice. By refining your communication, Nancy helps you ensure that every patient feels supported on a path to better hearing, making the profession feel exciting and new all over again.
