From your perspective, you’re helping them, right? Well…not always.
Instead of jumping for solutions, reframe the conversation to ask questions instead. Find out what matters most to that person.
Be part of the process of finding solutions with them; not for them. You might find that your answer isn’t the first thing that they would prioritize!
