Change your words. Change your world.

Simple Swaps: We Need To Talk

‘We need to talk.’ Does this sentence fill you with dread? You’re not alone. These four ominous words are loaded with foreboding and negativity.

Dave Inglis encourages swapping the statement: ‘We need to talk’ with a question: ‘When would be a good time for us to talk?’, or: ‘When would be a good time for us to sit down and have a conversation?’. This allows the other person to respond, rather than react out of fear.
